1.    Remove the plastic bezel that surrounds your tailgate. Use the tips of your fingers at the top and the bottom of the bezel. To press in and pull.

2.    Release rod ends at handle assembly by unlatching plastic retainers.

3.    Remove 3 screws holding handle assembly to tailgate. (Torx T-30)

4.    Extract the handle from the tailgate by pulling handle down and then out at top.

5.    Insert the short harness with the 2 bullet plugs into the drain hole at the bottom of the tailgate. The end with the waterproof connector should run behind the bumper and under the truck. .Push the harness with the 2 bullet plugs into the tailgate until it can be pulled through to the handle opening. 

6.    Insert the DynoLock with the solenoid end first into the handle opening. The solenoid stays on the left (Drivers ) side of the tailgate with the 3 holes in the bracket on the right (Passenger ) side.  

7.    Place the factory handle on top of the DynoLock and align holes in the DynoLock bracket with the holes in the tailgate and reinstall the 3 screws.

8.    Make sure the DynoLock locking pin moves freely in forward and reverse by using your finger.

9.    Connect wires from harness to DynoLock.

10.  Connect rod ends to handle and snap retainers into place and replace plastic bezel.

11.  Connect the long harness to the short harness installed in the tailgate by pressing the 2 pin waterproof connectors together.

12.  Run the harness under the vehicle as close to the driver’s side trim plate as possible. Use the tie wrap to secure the harness to the frame. Be sure to avoid moving or hot parts under the vehicle, i.e. shocks, springs or muffler pipes. Remove the driver’s side trim plate and drill a ½” hole in the floor and insert the enclosed grommet. Pull the harness thru the grommet.

13.  Remove the left side kick panel and locate the Orange / Black (Lock) and the Pink / Violet ( Unlock ) wires. Attach the blue wire taps to each wire. Wrap the blue wire tap around each wire and squeeze close with pliers. Push the 2 pink male spade connectors attached to the end of the harness into the blue taps.

14.   Lock the doors with the drivers side switch. If the tailgate locks and the doors unlock at the same time,

15.   Replace the trim plate and the side kick panel.
