1.   Remove the plastic bezel that surrounds your tailgate handle. Use the tips of your fingers at the top of the bezel and then the bottom to pull it off.

2.    Release lock rods at handle assembly by unlatching plastic retainers.

3.    Remove the 3 screws on the back side of the tailgate with a Torx 40 socket.

4.    Extract the handle from the tailgate.

5.     Insert the short harness with the 2 bullet plugs into the drain hole at the bottom of the tailgate. The end with the waterproof connector should run  behind the bumper and under the truck. Push the harness with the 2 bullet plugs into the tailgate until it can be pulled through to the handle opening.

6.     Insert the DynoLock with the solenoid first. The solenoid stay’s on the left side ( Driver’s ) and the bracket with the 3 holes on the right side ( Passenger ) It really does fit.

7.     Place the factory handle on top of the DynoLock bracket and align the holes in the DynoLock bracket with the 3 holes in the tailgate and re-install the 3 Torx screws.

8.    Make sure the DynoLock locking pin moves back and forth freely. Connect wires from harness to DynoLock

9.    Reconnect the threaded lock rods by snapping retainer into place.

10.  Connect the long harness to the short harness installed in the tailgate by pressing the 2 pin waterproof connector together.

11. Run the harness under the vehicle as close to the driver’s side kick panel as possible. Use the tie wrap to secure the harness to the frame. Be sure to avoid moving or hot parts under the vehicle, i.e. shocks, springs or muffler pipes.

12. Remove the driver’s side trim plate and drill a 7/16” hole in the floor under the driver door trim plate and insert the enclosed grommet. Run the harness through grommet.

13.  Look behind the driver’s side kick panel and locate the Orange/ Black (Lock) and the dark Blue ( Unlock ) wires.

14.  Attach the 2 blue wire taps to each wire Wrap the wire tap around each wire and squeeze close with pliers. Push the 2 pink male spade connectors attached to the end of the harness into the blue taps.

15.  Lock the doors using the driver’s side door lock switch. If the tailgate locks and the doors unlock at he same time ,reverse the wires. Replace the kick panel and the installation is complete.
